Dr. Pedro Hernandez has over 40 years experience in the medical field and is board-certified in Geriatric Medicine (FABG &FACGS) and Hospitalist (FABOHP). His other areas of certification include: Non-Invasive Vascular Technology (R.V.T.), Ethics(FACEP) and Cosmetic Medical Procedures. Originally from Havana, Cuba, Dr. Hernandez studied at the University of Costa Rica for several years, and then completed his specialty training at St. Barnabas in New York, a Cornell affiliate. Locally, he has received numerous awards for his charitable work at Living Waters in Pembroke Park. He was awarded “Most Compassionate Geriatrist” in 2011 by HealthTap.
